Welcome to FLATS Testing!
The FLATS Testing Program allows examinees all across the United States to earn transferrable college credit for their language abilities. The FLATS Test is a 12-credit pass/fail exam that assesses listening, reading, and grammar proficiency. FLATS is a nationally recognized exam, meaning that most schools will allow you to put the credit earned from the exam on your institution/university transcript.
The FLATS Test is an online exam, but it must be taken with one of our certified proctors. If you have questions about your proctor, please visit here, or contact us directly.
Before you begin the registration process, please note the following:
- The FLATS Test costs $50. Your institution may charge an additional proctoring fee, but the flat rate is $50.
- Once registering and paying for the test, the $50 charge will show as “Brigham Young Univ Web”
- After registering for the test, your registration is valid for six months. After those 6 months, it will expire and you will have to register & pay again. Please plan accordingly.
